Book News Round-Up: The Two-Body Problem, the Lunar Chronicles Movie & the OUABH Collector's Edition ✨
THANH VY VUONGShare
Hello, lovely reader —
Some weeks in the book world feel like one long, happy exhale, and this is one of them. A sequel nobody saw coming, a much-loved series heading for the big screen, and a collector's edition made for readers who like their shelves as enchanted as their stories. Pull up a blanket and a warm mug, because there is a lot to share.
🔬 Olive and Adam Are Coming Back
Ali Hazelwood has announced The Two-Body Problem, a direct sequel to The Love Hypothesis. It publishes on February 2, 2027, from Berkley.

The news lands just days after the Love Hypothesis film arrived on Prime Video on September 23. Hazelwood has said that working on the adaptation made her fall for Olive and Adam all over again, and that this is what pulled her back to their story.
The new book follows the couple several years into their relationship and spans a couple of years of their lives. She describes it as a mix of slice-of-life moments, postdoc turmoil and the very real challenges of a long-term relationship. Her own teaser includes the daily dilemma of deciding what to have for dinner, which feels wonderfully true to life.
A film based on the sequel is also in development at MRC for Amazon MGM Studios. Hazelwood was quick to add that nothing is guaranteed yet, so we are holding that one gently.
🌙 The Lunar Chronicles Is Heading to the Big Screen
Marissa Meyer's The Lunar Chronicles is being adapted as an animated feature by Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation. Noëlle Raffaele is directing, and the film is set for theaters on November 3, 2028. Industrial Light & Magic is also on board.

If you have not visited this world yet, it begins with Cinder in 2012. It is a sci-fi future where classic fairy tale characters, including echoes of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Snow White, are caught up in a growing conflict between Earth and its former colony, Luna.
Cyborgs, androids and a moon kingdom seem made for animation. For readers who have carried these characters in their hearts for over a decade, seeing them move will be a special kind of reunion. We will share casting and first-look news as soon as it is confirmed.
💔 Once Upon a Broken Heart Gets a Collector's Edition
Stephanie Garber has shared on Instagram that Once Upon a Broken Heart is getting a Collector's Edition, arriving October 27, 2026.

This deluxe hardcover comes with:
- An illustrated slipcase and illustrated hardcover
- Illustrated endpapers
- Limited edition stenciled edges
- The long-awaited fairytale of the Ballad of the Archer and the Fox
It brings back Evangeline Fox and her bargain with the wickedly charming Prince of Hearts, in a form made for rereading and for displaying. It is also a lovely excuse to fall back into the story with fresh eyes, or to hand the first book to a friend who has not met the Prince of Hearts yet.
🫶 Why These Stories Feel Like Ours
A scientist couple, a cyborg Cinderella and a girl who bargains with a prince are very different stories. What they share is how deeply their readers care about them. Fandoms like these grow through group chats, late-night recommendations and BookTok videos made with shaky hands and happy tears. A sequel, a film and a new edition are all ways of saying that these stories mattered enough to return to.
If you are marking October 27 in your calendar, our officially licensed collection is here for the coziest of rereads: Once Upon a Broken Heart Collection.
Whichever corner of the bookish world is calling you this week, we hope it feels like coming home.
With love,
The Bean Workshop 🫘
