Quicksilver Heads to Netflix, ACOTAR 6 Bonus Chapters & the New Kindles 📚✨
THANH VY VUONGShare
Hello, lovely reader —
Some weeks the bookish world moves in a whisper, and some weeks everything arrives at once. This week we have a Fae-and-alchemy story heading to the screen, a bonus-chapter surprise for Prythian readers, and a fresh Kindle lineup for anyone whose reading corner is due an upgrade. Pour something warm, and let’s go through it together.
🧊 Quicksilver Is Heading to Netflix
Callie Hart’s Quicksilver, the first book in the Fae & Alchemy series, is being developed as a Netflix film. If you’ve followed Saeris Fane and Kingfisher through the icy realm of Yvelia, you know why this news has the community buzzing.

It’s a story that began in the community itself. Quicksilver was self-published in 2024, and Hart sent early copies to a group of BookTok creators. Readers did the rest, and the book climbed the bestseller lists before Netflix won the rights in a seven-figure deal. Hart is on board as an executive producer, with Elizabeth Cantillon producing.
Hart has said she wants the adaptation to stay dark, adult and true to what readers loved, rather than becoming a YA version of the story. Casting and a release date haven’t been confirmed [confirm from source], so for now the fan-casting threads remain the best entertainment going.
If you haven’t started the book, there’s time to read it before the film arrives. If you have, it’s the perfect excuse for a cosy reread.
🥀 ACOTAR 6 Will Include Every Bonus Chapter
Anyone who has ever hunted through old editions or forum threads to find the ACOTAR bonus chapters, this one’s for you.

A Court of Splintered Harmony, the sixth ACOTAR book, is due on October 27, 2026. The publisher has shared that it will include three bonus chapters: the Nesta and Cassian chapter, the Feyre and Rhys chapter, and the Azriel chapter. They were previously tucked into specific editions, and they’ll now appear in every copy. That means no more searching for the right printing, and new readers won’t miss anything.
For longtime fans, it feels like a small, thoughtful gift. These scenes sit close to the characters’ hearts, and having them gathered in the new book makes Prythian feel a little more complete. Book seven, A Court of Forgotten Melody, is set for January 12, 2027, so the wait ahead is shorter than the one behind us.
📖 The New Kindles Have Arrived
On October 1, Amazon unveiled a redesigned Kindle lineup: a refreshed standard Kindle, a new Paperwhite and a new Colorsoft. The base Kindle is available now. The new Paperwhite and Colorsoft are available to pre-order, with shipping from October 28.

The new models are slimmer and lighter, with flush-front screens, aluminium options on some versions, and new colours, including a rich purple called Ube and a Fig shade that’s new to e-readers. Amazon has also introduced page-turn accessories, including the Kindle Click, a small Bluetooth remote, and a cover with physical page-turn buttons. Anyone who reads in bed, on the commute or one-handed over breakfast will understand the appeal.
A new Kindle always feels like the start of a reading chapter. There’s the first book you choose for it, the first cosy evening you spend with it, and the first time it ends up in your bag next to your tea flask. If you’re bringing a new e-reader home this season, you might enjoy dressing the whole reading nook around it. Our cozy E-reader Accessories include Kindle sleeves and coolest charms made for readers who like their everyday things to feel a little bit magical.
🫶 A Week to Look Forward To
A film in development, a bonus-chapter gift and a shiny new e-reader make a good week for readers. The books we love keep finding new ways to reach us, on screens, in special editions and in the gadgets we carry them in. And it all started with readers sharing what they love.
With love,
The Bean Workshop 🫘
