📖✨ Sarah J. Maas Just Revealed ACOTAR 6 & 7 — Titles, Covers, and Release Dates

THANH VY VUONG

If your phone has been buzzing nonstop, you already know: the wait is over. Sarah J. Maas has finally revealed what's coming next for the "A Court of Thorns and Roses" world, and the bookish internet has not been the same since.

🕯️ The Announcement

On August 17, Maas shared the titles and covers for the sixth and seventh books in the ACOTAR series, ending months of speculation. The reveal came with a flair only she could pull off — her Instagram and website went dark overnight before the announcement, and digital billboards lit up across Los Angeles, Denver, and New York City to break the news.

Book six is titled "A Court of Splintered Harmony," arriving October 27, 2026, and book seven is "A Court of Forgotten Melody," arriving January 12, 2027. Maas paired the reveals with two short captions — one hinting that what was broken will be remade, and the other promising that what was lost will be reclaimed. Together, the two books make up what's being called "The Valkyrie Cycle," with book six kicking off Movement I and book seven carrying Movements II and III.

⚔️ What We Know About the Story

Early details point to the return of Koschei the Deathless threatening the Fae territories, with the Night Court stepping in to protect innocents caught in the fallout. Prythian is still recovering from the Hybern War, and reuniting the courts is proving harder than expected — which sounds like exactly the kind of tension this fandom lives for.

This isn't new information Maas invented on the spot, either. Back in March, she used her appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast to first reveal that both release dates were locked in, describing the two books as part of one larger three-part story. The August reveal simply gave that promise a face — two, actually.

🐉 Why This Feels Like a Big Deal

Maas has built one of the most devoted fandoms in romantasy, and it's easy to see why. Between the Archeron sisters, the Night Court, and a world that keeps expanding in ways readers didn't see coming, ACOTAR has become a kind of shared language for an entire generation of fantasy lovers. A cover reveal like this isn't just a marketing beat — it's an event people plan their evenings around.

For now, all eyes are on October. Whether any additional details — synopsis excerpts, tour dates, or preorder bonuses — will be shared closer to release, but we'll keep you posted the moment anything new surfaces.

🍂 While You Wait

Two release dates on the calendar means plenty of time to get your reading nook in order before Prythian pulls you back in. If you're the type who likes a cozy corner, a good mug, and something soft to wrap up in while you wait for a big release, our Cozy Reading Drinkware collection was made for exactly this kind of anticipation.

Which title has you more curious — "Splintered Harmony" or "Forgotten Melody"? We'd love to hear your theories.
